▌Product Description
The Meatech MT-CCM corn cutting machine cuts whole corn cobs into uniform-length segments — typically 4–8 cm sections — for retail fresh corn packs, frozen corn segment products, and food-service corn portions where the whole corn on the cob format is desired but a full-length cob is too long for the retail or food-service packaging format. At 500 kg/h throughput and 0.75 kW power, the MT-CCM operates as a simple, low-energy first-stage cutting machine positioned immediately after the husking or drum washing stage and before the blanching and IQF stages in a frozen corn segment production line.
The food-grade SUS304 stainless steel construction covers all food-contact surfaces, and the 3,200×680×1,000 mm machine footprint (customisable in both length and cutting section count) integrates into a standard production floor layout between the washing and blanching machines. The cutting section length and the number of sections per cob are determined by the blade spacing configuration — both are customisable to the specific product format required by the retail or food-service buyer. For export-market fresh corn products where segment length is specified by the buyer, the MT-CCM can be configured to the exact segment dimension required.

▌Solution Applications
Solution / Line | Role of MT-CCM |
IQF Corn Segment Production | Cuts whole corn cobs into standard segments (typically 5–8 cm) for IQF freezing as frozen corn segments — a retail and food-service product format distinct from IQF corn kernels. The MT-CCM produces the segment; MT-BL blanching and MT-IQF freezing complete the line. |
Fresh retail corn packs | Cuts fresh corn cobs to the standard retail pack length (typically 8–10 cm for single-portion retail packs) before MAP or vacuum packaging. |
Food-service corn portioning | Cuts bulk corn cobs to catering portion sizes for hotel, restaurant, and institutional food-service supply. Uniform segment length ensures consistent cooking time and presentation across all portions. |
▌FAQ
Q: Can the segment length be changed between production runs?
A: Yes. The segment length is determined by the blade spacing, which can be adjusted mechanically. The standard blade configuration produces segments in the 4–8 cm range; custom blade spacings for shorter or longer segments can be specified at the order stage. A blade spacing change takes approximately 15–20 minutes with standard tools. For facilities producing both kernel IQF product (using the MT-CTM) and segment IQF product (using the MT-CCM), both machines can operate on separate corn lines simultaneously or sequentially depending on the production schedule.
