Vacuum Packing Machine

The Meatech MT-VP vacuum packing machine removes air from the packaging chamber before heat-sealing, extending the shelf life of meat and food products by 3 to 5 times compared to standard air-sealed packaging. The range covers four models — from compact dual-chamber intermittent machines suited to batch production, through to continuous roll-feed models for high-throughput processing lines — allowing the packaging stage to be matched precisely to your production volume without over-specifying equipment.

▌Product Description

The Meatech MT-VP vacuum packing machine removes air from the packaging chamber before heat-sealing, extending the shelf life of meat and food products by 3 to 5 times compared to standard air-sealed packaging. The range covers four models — from compact dual-chamber intermittent machines suited to batch production, through to continuous roll-feed models for high-throughput processing lines — allowing the packaging stage to be matched precisely to your production volume without over-specifying equipment.

All models are built from SUS304 stainless steel throughout, with German BUSCH or equivalent high-vacuum pumps achieving a vacuum level of 1,000 Pa or below. Waterproof construction and no-dead-corner design mean the machines can be cleaned down daily with high-pressure water alongside the rest of your meat processing line, meeting the same HACCP standard as the upstream processing equipment.

In the context of a Meatech processing line, the MT-VP series is typically the final stage before cold-chain dispatch — receiving marinated, smoked, or cooked meat products from the upstream line and sealing them into bags or pouches for retail or food-service distribution.

▌Solution Applications

The MT-VP series is recommended as the packaging stage for the following Meatech processing line solutions:

Meatech Solution

Role of MT-VP in the Line

Marinated Meat Ready-to-Cook

Vacuum-seals marinated raw chicken, pork ribs, or beef cuts after the tumbling stage. MAP packaging is optional; vacuum alone is sufficient for 7–14 day chilled or frozen distribution.

Smoked & Cooked Meat

Seals finished smoked sausages, ham slices, and cured meats into retail or food-service bags after the smokehouse stage. Vacuum extends shelf life from 3–5 days (air) to 14–21 days chilled.

Meat Jerky

Packages finished dried jerky strips in vacuum pouches before nitrogen-flush overwrapping. The vacuum step removes residual oxygen that would cause fat oxidation in ambient-shelf jerky products.

Central Kitchen Pre-Processing

Provides flexible vacuum sealing for a range of pre-processed meat products leaving the central kitchen — marinated portions, formed products, and cooked components — in a single machine that can handle multiple pouch sizes across shifts.

▌ FAQ

Q:  How does the MT-VP connect to the rest of the Meatech processing line?

A:  The MT-VP is the final stage in the line, positioned after the smokehouse, tumbler, or cooking tunnel depending on the solution. Product arrives on a standard 850 mm-height conveyor (adjustable ±50 mm). The continuous model (MT-VP-1000C-S1) can be fed directly from an upstream conveyor at speeds of 6–8 cycles per minute. For intermittent models, product is loaded manually or via a transfer conveyor from upstream equipment.

Q:  What packaging film and bag sizes are compatible?

A:  The MT-VP series is compatible with standard PA/PE and PA/EVOH/PE co-extruded vacuum pouches and rollstock, available from all major packaging film suppliers. Compatible bag dimensions range from approximately 100×150 mm to 400×600 mm depending on the model. Buyers source their own film from their preferred supplier — Meatech does not lock you into a proprietary film format.

Q:  Can spare parts and consumables be sourced locally?

A:  Yes. Sealing blades, Teflon sealing tape, vacuum pump oil, and O-ring seals used in the MT-VP series are all industry-standard dimensions available from local industrial suppliers in most markets, in addition to direct supply from Meatech. Key consumable lifespan: sealing blades approximately 3–6 months under continuous operation; pump oil change every 3 months.
