▌ Process Flow — Stage by Stage
Stage 1 — Receiving, Cleaning & Preparation
For sweet corn, husking and kernel-cutting precede washing. For edamame, pods are washed and damaged pods or foreign material removed before blanching. For green peas and okra, sizing and washing prepare the product for a consistent blanching entry. The goal is a product stream of uniform size and cleanliness entering the blancher — the prerequisite for uniform blanching performance.
Stage 2 — Blanching: Precision Time-Temperature Control
Product enters the continuous blancher at a controlled feed rate that determines residence time at the blanching temperature.
