The Meatech MT-FF-PTY / MT-FF-NGT forming machine series produces hamburger patties, chicken nuggets, fish patties, and other formed meat products from chilled mince or emulsified paste with a weight tolerance of ≤1% per piece — the controlled weight accuracy that retail declared-weight packs and QSR supply contracts require. The Meatech MT-FF-PTY / MT-FF-NGT forming machine series produces hamburger patties, chicken nuggets, fish patties, and other formed meat products from chilled mince or emulsified paste with a weight tolerance of ≤1% per piece — the controlled weight accuracy that retail declared-weight packs and QSR supply contracts require. Four models cover the range from a compact single-belt manual-load unit (HT-RB1200, 130 mm belt width) to a fully hydraulic high-volume production line machine (HKF-600, 600 mm belt width, 6-bar air pressure with 15 MPa forming pressure) — scaled to match the upstream paste preparation capacity and downstream breading and frying line throughput.

All three hydraulic models (HKF-300/400/600) use combined pneumatic and hydraulic operation: 6-bar compressed air drives the feed and conveyor mechanism; filling pressure of 3–15 MPa (adjustable) delivers the forming force to the mould. This two-system design separates the low-pressure conveyor function from the high-pressure forming function, allowing each to be optimised independently for different product types and mould geometries. Maximum formed piece diameter is 140 mm (HKF-300/HT-RB1200), 135 mm (HKF-400), or 150 mm (HKF-600); product thickness range is 6–25 mm for standard patty and nugget formats, expanding to 6–40 mm for the HKF-600 for thicker formed products.

QSR & food-service burger supply

▌FAQ

Q:  What does the ≤1% weight tolerance mean in practical terms?

A:  For a 100 g patty, ≤1% means the weight of each formed piece will be within ±1 g of the target weight — consistently across the full production run. This meets the tolerance required for UK and EU average weight law compliance on declared-weight retail packs, and the portioning accuracy that QSR supply contracts typically specify (usually ±2 g for a 100 g patty). In practice, achieving ≤1% weight tolerance requires consistent paste temperature (0–4°C at the forming stage) and consistent paste viscosity from the upstream mixer — the forming machine delivers the mould filling under controlled pressure, but the paste quality determines whether the mould fills completely and uniformly on every cycle.

Q:  What is the compressed air requirement for the hydraulic models?

A:  All three hydraulic models (HKF-300/400/600) require a 6-bar compressed air supply — equivalent to 87 psi — at the machine connection point. This is the standard industrial compressed air pressure available in most food processing facilities with a central compressor. The 6-bar supply drives the pneumatic conveyor and feed mechanisms; the hydraulic system that generates the 3–15 MPa forming pressure is self-contained within the machine. If 6-bar compressed air is not available at the installation site, a standalone compressor sized for the model's air consumption can be supplied.
