▌Product Description

The Meatech MT-HDAC hand disinfection access control system enforces hand hygiene compliance at the entry points of meat processing plants, poultry slaughter facilities, central kitchens, and food and beverage production areas by making disinfection a mandatory physical condition for entry — not a voluntary step that workers may skip under production pressure. The system is built around a signal-triggered turnstile that physically blocks passage until the hand hygiene sequence is completed: no disinfection, no entry.

Two configurations serve different hygiene protocol requirements. The MT-HDAC-S1 integrates hand disinfection and turnstile access control in a compact single unit (1,200×1,030×1,420 mm, 118 kg) — suited to facilities where hand washing is performed at a separate upstream sink station and the access control point enforces the final disinfection step. The MT-HDAC-S3 full hygiene station (2,570×1,190×1,630 mm, 358 kg) integrates hand washing, hand drying, hand disinfection, turnstile access control, and boot sole and boot upper cleaning in a single pass-through unit — delivering the complete personnel hygiene sequence in one station for facilities where space-efficient compliance is the priority.

Both models are constructed from SUS304 stainless steel to IP 67 protection class — fully waterproof and suitable for the high-pressure hosing and chemical disinfection cleaning schedules of food production environments. The ergonomic pass-through design maintains a high throughput rate (workers pass without stopping for extended periods), and the reverse exit button allows authorised exit without re-triggering the hygiene sequence. Multi-shift food production plants — where 50 to 200+ workers enter and exit the production zone multiple times per shift — require both compliance enforcement and efficient throughput: the MT-HDAC delivers both.

▌ Why Personnel Hygiene Access Control Matters for Food Safety Compliance

Human hand contact is the primary contamination pathway for Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, E. coli, and Staphylococcus aureus in ready-to-eat meat and processed food environments. HACCP plans in meat and food processing facilities universally identify personnel entry as a critical control point — but auditable compliance requires that the hygiene step cannot be bypassed, even inadvertently. An access control system that physically enforces the hygiene sequence provides the documented control mechanism that HACCP auditors, BRC Global Standard auditors, and retail buyer quality teams require at this CCP.

For facilities exporting to the EU, USA, Middle East GCC, and Southeast Asian markets, demonstrating physical hygiene enforcement at production zone entry points is an increasingly common requirement in buyer audit programmes and importing country inspection protocols — particularly for chilled and ready-to-eat meat and poultry products where post-processing contamination risk is the primary regulatory concern.

▌ Applications in Meatech Processing Facilities

The MT-HDAC series is installed at production zone entry points in facilities operating the following Meatech processing lines:

Facility / Solution Type

Role of MT-HDAC

Meat processing plants (Solutions 01–09)

Mandatory hygiene compliance at production hall entry. Prevents transfer of pathogens from personnel hands to raw meat, processing surfaces, and packaging materials. Critical CCP control point for HACCP plan compliance.

Solution 10 — Central Kitchen

All entry points to meat preparation zones. Central kitchens supplying multiple outlets face heightened audit scrutiny — physical enforcement of hygiene protocol provides the documented control evidence required by retail chain and food-service buyer quality audits.

Poultry processing (Solutions 01, 06)

Slaughter and processing areas where Salmonella and Campylobacter contamination from personnel contact is the primary regulatory concern. MT-HDAC-S3 full station recommended where production zone entry is the only opportunity to enforce the complete hygiene sequence.

IQF vegetable processing (Solutions 13, 14)

Production zone entry for ready-to-eat vegetable products. MT-HDAC enforces hygiene compliance for the production of products consumed without further cooking — where post-processing contamination has direct food safety consequences.

Export-oriented facilities

Facilities supplying EU, USA, GCC, or premium retail channels where buyer audit programmes include physical inspection of personnel hygiene control systems. MT-HDAC provides the physical enforcement mechanism and — through the turnstile trigger log — the audit trail that documents compliance.

▌FAQ

Q:  How does the turnstile know the hygiene sequence has been completed?

A:  The hand disinfection dispenser sends an electronic trigger signal to the turnstile control system when the sensor detects that the required volume of sanitiser has been dispensed. The turnstile remains locked until this trigger signal is received. If a worker attempts to push through without completing the hygiene step, the turnstile physically resists passage — it does not simply alarm, it physically prevents entry. This is the critical difference between an access control system and a reminder sign.

Q:  How is the MT-HDAC-S1 different from the MT-HDAC-S3 — which should I specify?

A:  The MT-HDAC-S1 enforces hand disinfection only at the entry point — it is the correct choice where a separate hand-washing sink station is installed upstream of the access control point, or where the facility's hygiene protocol separates hand washing from access control. The MT-HDAC-S3 integrates the complete hygiene sequence — hand washing, drying, disinfection, and boot cleaning — into a single pass-through station. The S3 is the correct choice for facilities where a single compact entry station must deliver the full HACCP-required hygiene sequence, or where physical space prevents separate sink and access control installations.

Q:  Can the MT-HDAC be installed alongside the MT-BSC boot sole cleaning machine as a modular system?

A:  Yes. The MT-HDAC-S1 (hand disinfection + turnstile) can be installed in sequence with the MT-BSC (standalone boot sole cleaning machine) to create a complete personnel hygiene entry station covering both hand hygiene and footwear decontamination. This modular approach allows each element to be positioned at the optimal point in the entry flow — for example, the MT-BSC at the factory entrance before putting on protective footwear, and the MT-HDAC-S1 at the production zone door. Alternatively, the MT-HDAC-S3 full station combines both functions in a single unit.

Q:  What cleaning and maintenance does the MT-HDAC require?

A:  The IP 67 waterproof rating allows the MT-HDAC to be cleaned with high-pressure water and standard food-grade disinfectants as part of the facility's daily cleaning schedule — the same cleaning procedure as the surrounding production area. The sanitiser reservoir requires refilling based on usage volume; sensor calibration and turnstile mechanism inspection are recommended monthly. SUS304 stainless steel construction means no surface rusting or corrosion degradation under normal food factory cleaning chemical concentrations.
