▌Product Description
The Meatech MT-OSM TSBL-80 seasoning mixer applies dry seasonings and coating powders to food products using a gravity self-falling (重力自落式) mixing principle — the product and seasoning are loaded into a disc-type drum that rotates at 90 rpm, repeatedly lifting and dropping the contents so that seasoning powder contacts all surfaces of each product piece on every revolution. This gentle gravity-based mixing action is suited to fragile or irregularly shaped products — fried chicken pieces, nuggets, meatballs, potato crisps — where a more aggressive mechanical mixing action would break or damage the product surface.
The TSBL-80 handles batch sizes from 50L discharge to 250L drum capacity, operating in continuous mode — loading and discharge can be managed in a rolling batch cycle to maintain a continuous output flow to the downstream packaging stage. Power consumption of 1.1 kW makes the MT-OSM one of the lowest-energy consumption stages in the production line. The vertical working form and 1,400×1,100×1,800 mm footprint integrates into a standard production floor layout between the fryer exit conveyor and the packaging line inlet.

▌Solution Applications
Solution / Line | Role of MT-OSM |
Chicken Nuggets & Patty Line | Post-frying seasoning. Receives hot nuggets from the continuous fryer and applies seasoning powder before cooling and IQF freezing. Disc-type drum ensures even spice distribution on irregular nugget surfaces. |
Meat Jerky Line | Post-drying seasoning. Applies flavour powder coating to finished jerky strips before packaging — salt, spice blends, or sweet coating powder formats. |
Snack and fried food lines | General-purpose dry seasoning tumbler for any fried or baked snack requiring surface flavour coating. |
▌FAQ
Q: What is "gravity self-falling" mixing and how does it differ from a paddle mixer?
A: In gravity self-falling mixing, the drum rotates and the product literally falls under gravity from the higher side of the drum to the lower side on every rotation — no paddles, no mechanical contact with the product. The seasoning powder dusted onto the product is worked into all surfaces by this repeated gentle tumbling action. A paddle mixer uses rotating paddles that physically push and scrape product — effective for dense batters and pastes, but too aggressive for fragile fried products where the surface coating or crust would be damaged. For dry seasoning application to finished fried products, gravity self-falling is the correct mechanism.
Q: Can the MT-OSM handle wet marinades or liquid sauces?
A: The MT-OSM TSBL-80 is designed for dry powder seasoning (solid granules) only. Wet marinades or liquid sauces require a different drum type with sealed walls and a spray or drip application system — applying liquid in an open gravity drum creates uneven pooling and inconsistent coating. For liquid marinade or glaze application, contact Meatech for a sealed coating drum configuration.
