Products Details
▌Product Description
The Meatech automatic sausage tying machine replaces manual binding for all sausage segmenting operations, delivering uniform, consistent ties at 60–80 strips per minute — five to eight times the throughput of manual tying crews. The machine feeds filled sausage links across a needle plate, where needles pierce the sausage body at precisely set intervals, thread from the spool is guided through to form segmenting ties, and the cutting mechanism automatically trims thread ends in a single continuous motion.
Segment length is freely adjustable between 3 cm and 25 cm, and the machine accommodates sausage diameters from 12 mm to 48 mm — covering the full range from cocktail sausages to large-format red sausage and Chinese sausage. Casing savings of 10–20 % versus manual tying are consistently achieved through tighter, more accurate segmenting with less wasted casing between ties.
PLC control with LED display allows operators to programme segment length, tying quantity, and running speed, with integrated production counting and fault alarm. The machine can operate as a standalone unit or be paired directly with sausage stuffers and clipping machines to form a fully integrated fill-tie-clip production line. Spool capacity of 500–1,000 m of tying thread ensures long uninterrupted production runs.
Full SUS304 stainless steel construction, emergency stop, protective cover, and automatic jam detection ensure safe hygienic operation.

▌ FAQ
Q: Can the machine handle all sausage casing types?
A: Yes. The tying machine works with all casing types — natural casings, collagen casings, and protein casings — across diameters from 12 mm to 48 mm. The needle plate and spool are quickly replaceable to match different casing specifications and tying thread types.
Q: How much casing can the machine save compared to manual tying?
A: Automated tying consistently saves 10–20 % of casing material versus manual tying, because the tie placement is more precise and the tail lengths between ties are minimised. For high-volume operations, this is a significant material cost saving.
Q: How is the machine paired with a sausage stuffer?
A: The tying machine receives filled sausage links directly from the stuffer output via a conveyor connection. Once paired, the system operates as a continuous fill-and-tie line with a single operator monitoring both machines. Meatech can supply both machines and design the interface conveyor.
Q: What maintenance does the machine require?
A: Daily: clean residual material from conveyor belt and needle plate. Regularly: check thread pressure wheel and cutting mechanism wear, lubricate transmission components. The spool should be replenished before it runs out during production to avoid automatic stoppage.
